My Shakespearian Sonnets

For my english assignment, I had to write a sonnet. I chose to do shakepearian theme, and this is what I came up with....

BTW, no copying, this is copyright to me, and it'll get back to me if you use em.

The Credit Crunch

Though it sounds like a harmless breakfast treat,
It is apparently more sinister,
With Panorama’s on Telly, my sweet,
And the crying Parliament minister.
For the economy has crashed, and UK
Media can’t help cheering - for the tale.
Primark and Lidl sales did rise today,
And Gordon Brown drowns his sorrows in Ale.
But just because int’rest rates are rising
And Britain’s banks have been nationalised
Do not forget that the world’s surprising
And soon we’ll all be quite rationalised
For after all we’re British, we’ll recall,
In a few years over tea, the market falls.
